Recently, one of my colleagues, Lawrence
has bought an New iPad( ipad 3). However, only after 5 days, he found that this
new device has several tiny dusts under the screen. He is quite annoyed
after the discovery. Because his iPad was parallel imports, he can never return
it to Apple.
Searching
the Internet, though people have complained about this problem in many articles
and threads. So far, no agreement has been reached why this would happen. From
my point of view, this problem may be cause by the following reasons.
1.
Producing process: Although foundries of Apple have applied strict quality
control system when manufacturing the iphone or ipad parts, absolute anti dust
working environment cannot be realized. Let alone the large quantity
assembling, packaging and transporting procedures.
2.
Operating environment: While using your iphone or ipad, it's impossible to
avoid dust surrounding you. The only solution for this is to protect our living
environment.
3. Cosmetic
structure issue: Compared with other cellphones, the most impressing point for
iPhone is its unique home button on the screen. It's groundbreaking to do all
work with only one physical button. However, this design also cause the problem
that it's easy to let the dust access to the gap between lcd and digitizer. More
often than not, the uncovered charging port and ear phone jack may also cause this
problem. To avoid this, you can buy a rubber gasket to protect your device from
dust.
If
unfortunately your iphone or ipad already has dust under the digitizer glass, you
have 3 steps to solve this problem.
1. If it
is still under the warranty, you can go to the local Apple Shop to let them fix
it.
2. If your
device is out off warranty, you could hire a local phone repair shop to clean
it or try to clean it yourself. Here attached the iphone 4 assembly video for
you to follow.
