Samsung-quit Android soon?

When Samsung Galaxy S III came to release, no "absolute leading" advantages exist in hardware, compared with the release of Samsung Galaxy S II. Samsung has laid its attention more on software. Some more intelligent functions like Smart stay, S voice, Direct call etc appeared.

On Monday, Kwon Oh-hyun, Samsung's new CEO announced in his inaugural speech that "Samsung needs to improve its competitiveness in software, and is now at a crossroads. To become the top global technology company, we need to challenge and innovate continuously. I will give more authority to our employees for creative ideas." His words showed the great ambition in making Samsung phones more competitive in software.
For a long time, Samsung has always hoped to integrate its software and hardware source to make better user experience phones. For this reason, Samsung kept investing its own operating system Bada and building Smartphone like Samsung Wave S8500, Samsung Wave II S8530.
However, because of the popularization of Android phones, many of the Samsung's phones and tablets adopt Android system, it is hard for Samsung to drastically quit Android system in a short time. If Samsung can integrate the software and hardware successfully, it can control every detail of the phone without exterior software company. The most successful example is apple's iPhone, which perfectly integrates software and hardware, and earn great profit. Another reason for Samsung to do so is the acquisition of Motorola done by Google. After the acquisition, the relationship between Samsung and Google changed from partner to competitor.
The future of this change can not be judged till now, but as the No 1. smart phone producer, Samsung has the ability to adopt its own OS instead of using Android.
